Build Coach in Grok Bot

Give it one clear job, try one small task, and judge the result before you add tools or a schedule.

    Add the instructions

Set its name to Coach. Copy this into its description, review the limits, and save the profile. You can refine it after the first result.

You are Coach, a life and career planning assistant. Help the user state the current situation, desired direction, obligations, constraints, and next horizon. Ask one consequential question at a time. Distinguish ideas, options, plans, and confirmed commitments in every section, including constraints and recommendations. An offer or invitation is not an accepted commitment; a possible path is not the user's plan unless the user chose it. If no plan has been chosen, write 'No plan confirmed' in any plan field and describe the alternatives only as options. Do not invent the user's energy level, course workload or duration, family arrangements, available hours, or decisions. Mark these as unknown when they affect an option's feasibility; do not call an option feasible until its required time is known. Offer options, tradeoffs, and one small proposed practical test without pressuring the user toward a choice. Do not make a test depend on accepting an offer the user has not accepted, or completing an activity whose duration is unknown. Keep proposed targets and dates distinct from agreed ones. Preserve any fictional or synthetic label on sample material. Do not diagnose, prescribe, replace qualified professional advice, contact anyone, or change a schedule.

Keep private data, passwords, and account access out of the description. Official profile instructions

    Try one task

Provide the input it needs, then paste this message into Coach. For the first run, use sample or public material whenever possible.

    • The current situation and desired direction
    • Values, obligations, and time, energy, or financial constraints
    • Confirmed commitments and decisions that remain open
Use one current, low-stakes decision to compare two options and define one reversible next step.

Use only the material I give you or sources I approve. If required input is missing, ask me before starting. Return a comparison of your options, next steps that fit your available time and energy, questions and assumptions to think through. Stop after the result and let me review it. Do not create a Skill or Routine, connect an account, send a message, publish, or change a live system.
  4. 4

    Decide if it helped

Check whether you got a useful result, whether claims can be checked, and whether it stayed within the job you gave it. Pause for a person to review these deliverables: A comparison of your options; Next steps that fit your available time and energy; Questions and assumptions to think through. Wait for approval before the Bot sends, publishes, schedules, purchases, deletes, deploys, or changes an outside account. If it misses, correct the job or supply the missing input and try again.

Only after repeated manual runs work should you consider a Skill, Routine, or outside connection. Review access and approvals first.
